New York Times、Fortune、 The Economistsなど一般誌紙、Institute of Pacific Relations(太平洋問題調査会)の出版したPacific Affairs誌、American Institute of Pacific Relations刊行のFar Eastern Survey、そして日本人ジャーナリストや知識人が英文で刊行したContemporary Japan誌のような民間のオピニオン誌等々、膨大な量の出版物に発表されたこの時代の調査、探索には多大な時間を要します。
